Mist Eliminator/ Demister Pad helps to coalescing liquid droplets. This device helps to association of the smaller particles into the larger droplets which allows only gases flow out of the vessel while the liquid and moisture content gets trapped returns to the pool. Raised mist in the vapour drives role of the demister pad in process. When mist passes through the obstacles of the mesh of the mist eliminator/ demister pad, the mesh filaments helps to coalescing liquid particles and simply allows vapour to flow out. Meanwhile, size of the liquid droplets rises as per time and they’ll get detached from mesh to returning pool.

After all, the coalescing of the liquid droplets is only because of the various obstructions made into the path of the vapours where vapours strikes in the demister pad/ Mist eliminator.
